The Supervisory Board is a municipal authority responsible for overseeing guardians, administrators, and legal representatives in the cooperating municipalities of Flen, Gnesta, and Vingåker. We also provide administrative support for the supervisor in Trosa municipality.

The mission of the Supervisory Office is to support the Supervisory Board and the supervisor in implementing goals and strategies, preparing decision-making materials, and conducting supervision. The supervision aims to ensure that those with representatives in the form of legal guardians, administrators, or guardians do not suffer legal losses.

By the summer of 2026, new legislation will be introduced in the supervisory area. This means that the Supervisory Office will have an expanded and more complex mission, including taking over cases currently handled by the courts. This is a significant change that will affect both working methods and responsibilities.

Tasks/Assignments

Examples of tasks in the role:

  • Processing legal matters such as investigating and deciding on consent for real estate and condominium sales, inheritance distributions.
  • Investigating and processing the need for guardianship, administration, and representation, as well as correspondence with the court.
  • Representing the supervisor in court.
  • Exercising supervision over representatives by reviewing accounting documents and investigating complaints against representatives.
  • Recruiting, compensating, and training guardians and administrators.
  • Providing information and contacts with our principals, representatives, healthcare, other authorities, and the public.
  • Other administrative tasks and mail handling.
  • Preparing service letters to the Supervisory Board/supervisor in decisions where delegation is lacking.

Requirements for this position

We are looking for someone with a law degree, economics, political science, social work degree, or other relevant higher education, or extensive experience in supervisory operations or other authority work within politically governed operations. You should be able to express yourself very well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Meritorious

Experience in economic family law and supervisory operations is advantageous.

We value your IT skills, especially the ability to use various digital tools to achieve efficient processing.

A strong communication ability is important, both written and oral, to communicate clearly and effectively with different parties.

Personal qualities

We are looking for someone who is structured, persistent, curious, self-driven, stable, and possesses personal maturity and good collaboration skills. The tasks require high demands for flexibility, quality, and service spirit. You have the ability to prioritize work effectively and accurately even during times of higher workload.
